Blossom Barns were delighted to receive support from Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), who generously donated their time, resources and expertise to relay stone on the rear driveway of the farm. This upgrade marks an important step forward as Blossom Barns prepares for exciting future developments to make the site even better for the people we support, the animals at the farm and visitors.
Ceri Burgess, our Service Manager said:
“The relationship with Mott MacDonald Bentley began thanks to Daisy, one of our Support Workers, whose dad, Anthony, works for the company. After hearing about the work we do at Blossom Barns, Anthony suggested to his managers that this might be a project worth supporting, and we’re so glad they agreed!
Following an initial meeting with them, MMB reviewed our current projects and came back with the fantastic news that they could help us by re-laying stone on the rear driveway. This improvement will make a huge difference to the accessibility and usability of the farm.
A big thank you goes to Daisy and Anthony for making this connection possible. Without their support, this project may never have happened.”
Ceri worked closely with Trudie Thomas and Libby-Mai Joiner, both from MMB, to define the scope of the project and gather support from Mott MacDonald Bentley’s suppliers and clients.
Ceri continued:
“We’d also like to extend our thanks to MMB’s clients & supporters; Lynch, Simmons, Frazers, Welfare Hire and Severn Trent who contributed resources and expertise. Their donations of machinery, supplies, and resources were invaluable in making this project a success!
The MMB team spent a week on-site carrying out the work, which was a fascinating experience for everyone at Blossom Barns. They took the time to explain the process to the people we support, who loved watching the stone being laid and rolled. The finished driveway is a huge improvement and puts us in a great position for the future developments happening on site.
We hope this is just the beginning of a long and rewarding working relationship. In return, we’re excited to create bird boxes for MMB’s future projects to help support wildlife and habitats. We also look forward to welcoming them back later this year for a corporate day.”

MMB have continued to support Blossom Barns through hosting of their produce for sale at their offices over Christmas and have invited Blossom Barns for a STEM visit to their warehouse early in 2026, for the opportunity to learn about the machinery they use and have a guided tour.
Once the project was complete, everyone celebrated with a farm tour and an official opening of the new driveway, attended by MMB and their clients & supporters who kindly contributed, enabling them to meet the team at the farm, including the people we support.
Thank you, Mott Macdonald Bentley, for your incredible support and for helping us make Blossom Barns even better for the future!
