It’s Shared Lives Week and our Bethphage Shared Lives team have been enjoying week-long celebrations. This week aims to highlight Shared Lives schemes across the country and celebrate the work of Shared Lives Carers.
We were delighted to host a Shared Lives Week drop-in at our head office on Tuesday 25th of June. With games, a raffle and buffet, there was much to enjoy at the drop in. We also had our Health & Improvement Lead, Enable, Taking Part and representatives from Shared Lives Plus Community on hand to share valuable insights.
The day also included the premiere of a new film created in-house to highlight living well in Shared Lives.
Thank you to the following local businesses who donated a prize to our raffle: The British Iron Works, Stop Cafe, the Duck Store, The Beefy Boys, Hollywood Bowl, Cineworld, Alderford Lake, Dough and Oil, Frankie’s Cafe, The Floro Lounge and Costa Coffee.
Wednesday saw a social evening for Shared Lives Carers and people supported, along with other people supported by Bethphage, hosted at the Floro Lounge in Shrewsbury.
We will be rounding off the week by cheering on our Shared Lives Co-Ordinator, Sue, as she takes on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for a social fund for Shared Lives on Friday!
On the week, our Shared Lives Manager said:
“I’d like to thank everyone who got involved to celebrate Shared Lives Week and the fantastic work of our Shared Lives Carers. It was wonderful to see Enable, Taking Part, Oak Farm and Shared Lives Plus at our drop-in on Tuesday and we are wishing Sue the best of luck on her challenge!”

Happy Birthday Bethphage
On this day, 30 years ago, (September 26th, 1994) Bethphage was officially founded in the UK. We are thrilled to celebrate this significant milestone and have been reflecting on our beginnings and the journey that has shaped us into the organisation we are today.
