Bethphage Celebrates 30th Birthday with fun and games and lots of laughter!

As we mark 30 years of Bethphage, we were so pleased to bring our staff, people we support and Shared Lives carers together again for a big celebration! Held at Mereside Community Centre in Shrewsbury and with a tent from Curious Tent Hire, we were well-sheltered from the temperamental British weather. With a fantastic DJ set from Zara Bowden of “Tomorrow’s Joy”, karaoke, a raffle and games, there was something for everyone.

With karaoke hits such as “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Super Trouper” happening inside, outside and in the bell-tent guests were treated to an array of garden party games.  Guests also enjoyed a photobooth from Fun Party Booth, even our executive management team donned some hats and props and got involved! The party also saw the return of our Bethphage raffle, with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses and our supporters. Guests also enjoyed pizza from Vine’s Pizza Shack and an array of sandwiches and desserts.

No birthday celebration is complete without cake, made for us by Cake it or Leave it.

Thank you for your support!

This party was made possible by our supporters and “Friends of Bethphage”, we would like to thank everyone who helped us make the day a success:

Thank you to the Blakemore Trust for their contribution and Helen Pugh of FlexAssist who raised over £900.

Thank you to the following people and local businesses who donated raffle prizes to us: Beefy Boys, CSons, The Pheasant at Neenton, The British Ironworks Centre, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, The Climbing Hut, Jennifer T, Booka Bookshop.

We would also like to thank all our fantastic staff volunteers on the day!

Bethphage Statement on recent racist violence and civil unrest

Bethphage are deeply saddened and shocked at the recent violence, unrest and rioting that has been taking place across the country. Racism plays no part in our society, we know that the actions of this small minority of individuals does not reflect the wider views of the British public who are open, tolerant and law-abiding citizens.
