Bethphage is thrilled to announce that we were recently successful in our bid to retain Bradbury Court, a registered care home for adults with learning disabilities in North Shropshire.
Bethphage has managed Bradbury Court on behalf of Shropshire Council since 2015 and this award means we will continue to run the service for at least another 5 years. Under the new commissioning model there will be a shift in focus to providing a shorter term service to prepare individuals readiness for independent living by:
- Developing and enabling meaningful community connections,
- Maintaining and developing family and friendship ties
- Developing Independent living skills
- Achieving aspirations to reach potential
Bethphage success is a reflection of the great work that already goes on at Bradbury Court that we were able to evidence in our tender bid.
Service Manager, Kizzy Moss wanted to give a:
“Big thank you to the team for supporting the current individuals that live at Bradbury Court and embracing the changes that are going to come!”
Head of Operations, Helen Burton said:
“We at Bethphage are really excited about the opportunities this new service model will bring. It will enable our talented team at Bradbury Court to reach more individuals and make a positive impact on their lives through person centred, tailored support that focusses on preparing them for independent living from day one.”
Councillor Simon Jones, Cabinet Member for adult social care and public health at Shropshire Council added:
“We know that Bradbury Court is very much a valued service for people with learning disabilities and play a key role in supporting the local community.
“I am delighted that Bethphage continues to run Bradbury Court for a further 5 years which will offer continuity of service to those they support. I am also really pleased that there will be a new focus on developing support that will really help prepare adults with learning disabilities to reach their full potential and help assist them to live independently.
