We recently attended the Partners in Care Annual Conference and Care Awards in Shrewsbury. Hosted at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, the conference brought together representatives and organisations from across the care sector to reflect on the issues currently facing the sector and celebrate all the fantastic work happening to support people in Shropshire, Telford and Cheshire.

With talks on topics such as AI in social care, mental health support, the importance of dignity, along with informative sessions updating members on market position statements, it was an insightful day with a focus on learning and collaboration.

In addition to the conference, Partners in Care also hosted their Excellence in Care Awards. We were nominated for three awards:

• Dr Michael Grierson (Our Space) – Dementia Carer of the Year
• Rachel Davies (Our Space) – Outstanding Contribution
• Bethphage – Care Employer of the Year (People and Culture)

We’d like to send a big congratulations to Mike who won the Dementia Carer of the Year Award for his fantastic work at Our Space including setting up the memory café.

Another huge well done goes to Rachel for being shortlisted in such a competitive category! A well deserved recognition!

While we didn’t take home the win this time, we are so proud to be shortlisted for the Care Employer of the Year Award (People and Culture). We’d like to thank everyone working at Bethphage to ensure people feel welcome, respected and supported and work in our values everyday.
