Our Space Hub Celebrates January Blues Days Success!

The Our Space Hub has started the new year with its first-ever January Blues Days, held on Sunday 18th and Monday 19th January. Designed as part of the Hub’s ongoing development, the two-day event brought together local residents for activities, connection, and support to help brighten what can be, one of the toughest times of the year.

Across both days, visitors were welcomed to drop in at any time or take part in a range of planned sessions aimed at boosting well-being. From mental health support and signposting to hands-on creative activities and holistic experiences, the event offered something for everyone. The community cafe was open across both days as a warm hub, to welcome anyone who wanted to stop by for a chat and a drink!

“Our residents LOVED the afternoon and evening, really lovely to be accessing dancing and workshops in the community and feeling a part of something” – January Blues Days Attendee

The success of the January Blues Days was made possible thanks to generous grant funding from the CLC and Shropshire Warm Hub, alongside the continued dedication of the Hub’s incredible volunteers. With this support, all sessions and refreshments were completely free for everyone to enjoy. Funded activities included the popular Paint & Sip sessions, the MHS Well-Being Bus, and treatments within the Holistic Space, which all received great reviews from attendees!

Rachel, the Hub’s service manager said:

“We’d like to thank everyone who attended, volunteered, or facilitated a session at the January Blues Days, it was wonderful to see the community behind this two-day event. We’d also like to thank the CLC and Shropshire Warm hub for enabling us to provide these days for free. We’ve had some brilliant feedback from attendees and look forward to hosting more events in the future.”
