Supported Living

Bethphage provides a range of Supported Living services for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs uniquely tailored to the person. Our services operate across Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Support varies, depending on the person’s needs, ranging from two hours a week to 24 hours day and night. Support is provided in people’s own homes, their family home, in individual or shared tenancies and out in the community. We support people in small group settings or on an individual basis.  We believe everyone is different, so their support should be too.

Through our person-centred approaches, we enable people to connect with their community using the local facilities we all appreciate; accessing new activities and developing leisure interests, meeting friends, finding paid or voluntary work and meeting up with family and friends.

No two people are the same, so why should their support be? We focus on learning about the people we support and using that information to create the best support we can. Through our approaches, we enable people to build on their skills, try new things & encourage choice making.

We help people to live fulfilling lives and achieve their dreams and aspirations by bringing potential to life. Everything we do focuses on the individual, supporting them to develop their independence at the right level and with the right approach.  Support is provided where the person needs it, which can include:

  • Health, hygiene and personal care
  • Healthy lifestyles including diet and exercise
  • Money management
  • Shopping and household skills
  • Training and educational activities
  • Employment and support
  • Planning – day trips/outings/holidays

From those first starting their journey of independence to those who have lived in their own home for years, we aim to help every person we support to be independent, live fulfilling lives and achieve their dreams and aspirations by bringing potential to life.

All our colleagues across the organisation work towards our vision of inclusive communities where all people have the opportunity to live the life they choose.

“Support plans were person centred, up to date and reviewed regularly. People were involved in their reviews. One person said, “We’ve got my review coming up soon, we’ll talk about everything.” Plans guided staff to focus on the person’s wellbeing and what outcomes and goals they wanted to achieve.”
