Treat Me Well Shropshire are pleased to announce we have secured funding from Mencap to help our campaigning in Shropshire. Established in 2019, Treat Me Well Shropshire was meeting regularly before lockdown, campaigning for better outcomes for people with a learning disability and autism visiting hospital.
The Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns has made meeting much more difficult in a time where the campaign is never more needed. Our group is now able to meet online and recently attended the Treat Me Well leaders’ sessions hosted by Mencap. Our focus is currently on accessible information & the Coronavirus vaccine rollout.
Bethphage’s Development Manager, Alice Blakeman said:
“We are delighted to receive this funding from Mencap which recognises the achievements of Treat Me Well Shropshire. This funding will enable us to continue our campaigning efforts in Shropshire and are grateful to Mencap for their continued support of our group.”
