The role is a temporary position to cover maternity leave until January 2022. The role will involve leading the day to day management of two established supported living services in Shrewsbury providing effective management for people with learning disabilities to ensure they receive high quality support.
The candidate will be an experienced manager, a good communicator, able to network and work with people at all levels. They should be confident and knowledgeable of the sector, able to get on with the role and deal with issues, knowing when to seek help and advice. They will be able to use IT and write legibly, have significant experience of working and managing in the health and social care sector and an understanding of person Centred and positive behaviour support.
Candidates who do not have a level 5 qualification will be considered so long as they have suitable management experience and professional knowledge in the sector, ideally in learning disability.
The successful candidate will have good communication Skills and ability to lead and support two diverse teams and services.
You will work closely with our PBS team (Positive Behaviour Support) to promote the positive culture in the services and continue with the culture to promote positive changes for people and their quality of life.
Ability to work in a team, mentoring and supporting new and existing staff and be a positive role model.
Must be a good report writer and able to create and update support plans and R/A with the people we support and service.
You may be required to work evenings and weekends and will be part of the on-call for the organisation.
You will work with and have the support of the Rota admin team to ensure your services are fully staffed.
Please note while this is a temporary position, a permanent position within Bethphage will be considered at the end of the temporary period.
37.5 hours per week.
£27,000 per annum

Essential Qualifications / Requirements
- Management qualification and/or prepared to work towards level 5
- have knowledge and experience of working with people who have Learning disabilities and Autism
- Supervisory experience and experience of being in a management role.
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and Person-Centred Support
- Good working Knowledge of Microsoft software – Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to manage & prioritise own workload
Desirable Knowledge / Experience
- Experience in setting up new services and supporting people with transition.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and Radar systems.
