Due to a restructure in management we are looking for a team leader in Shrewsbury in one of our very established supported living services providing support for people with learning disabilities.
Sutton Road currently support four people who live in a shared bungalow.

We seek someone who is looking for a new challenge and may be ready to step up from support worker to their first leadership role or, you may already have experience but seek a person-centred positive behaviour organisation that lives it’s values every day and invests in it’s people.
We provide personal care and support to the individuals that live in the service to maintain their privacy and dignity. You would also be required to support people to be actively involved in their life choices including daily living skills, accessing the community, diet and nutrition and to promote independence whilst participation in everyday activities.
We work closely with our own Positive Behavior Support team to provide high quality service for people to ensure that they live an active and full life of their choice, you will be required to work closely with the positive behaviour support team to promote the positive culture in the service.
You will be leading a strong team by actively coaching and modeling positive approaches and to support the teams to promote people’s independence and improve their quality of life.
Successful applicants needs to be able to work in the existing team and mentor new staff.
The team leader will have experience in updating people’s person-centered plans and Risk assessments with the people we support and their support staff whilst working closely with Service Manager in providing quality support.
You will need to be a calm, caring, supportive person and a good listener to enable you to support adults to maximise their independence and well-being. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be ‘Person-centred’ You will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to the needs of the people we support and the organisation.
37.5 hours per week.
£9.80 per hour

- Full UK drivers licence
- Level three diploma in Health and Social care
