Bethphage joins with Mencap on their Shropshire Treat Me Well Workshops

Continuing with our Better Health Theme for 2019,  Bethphage are delighted to support Mencap with their Treat Me Well Workshops which are coming to Shropshire this summer!

The overall aim of Treat Me Well is to improve experiences for people with learning disabilities when accessing health care, something which Bethphage feels passionate about. Both workshops are free and open to people with a learning disability, carers and supporters living in Shropshire.

Wednesday, 19th June 2019: Know Your Rights Workshop:

Will talk about rights in hospitals and how to get good health care, reasonable adjustments and gives you the opportunity to share your hospital experiences.

Wednesday, 3rd July 2019: Campaign Workshop:

Focuses on training you how to campaign for better healthcare for people with a learning disability in your local hospital. The campaigns workshop is where you can learn about what campaigning means and if you are interested in the Treat Me Well Campaign, we can work with your local hospital to make things better. We want lots of ideas of how we can campaign together!

Places are limited so please book soon to avoid disappointment! To book, contact Bindy from Mencap on 01162795037 or 07960453592 or email Bindya.mistry@mencap.org.uk
