This super young lady is looking for a Female Support Worker to work within a Team in Whitchurch. The service is within walking distance of the town centre, where there is a wide variety of amenities such as shops, theatre, parks and train station/public transport. This will be 1-1 support for 24/7, this is no personal care required. The candidate will be required to manage behaviours that challenge and will be underpinned with knowledge in Positive Behaviour Support, Global Delay and Oppositional Defiance Disorder.

What is a support worker?

A support worker is great at building relationships, kind, respectful, patient and supports people to live they life they choose. It is a varied role that can include anything from supporting someone with household tasks like cooking to supporting someone with their hobbies and interests. Everyday is different as a support worker and you will be making a difference to someone’s life everyday. This role is female drivers only*

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK manual drivers Licence with business insurance
  • Caring, Passionate about supporting people to live a happy and fulfilled life.
  • A good communicator and be able to listen.

  • The ability to stay calm and adapt to changes in situations

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of working with LD
  • Experience of lone working, supported living in the community
  • Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care
