Complex Mental Health Support Worker - Broseley

We are looking for friendly and positive support workers who will work closely with the team to promote a positive culture in the service of a young gentleman with autism and a learning disability.    

The individual we support is very independent and enjoys carrying out physical activities such as gardening, dog walking, swimming, gym etc. He has a great sense of humor and is very knowledgeable about TV programs, current affairs and sport.  

You will be providing a variety of support needs including cooking, cleaning, medication management and day to day activities.   

This position is suited to individuals who are committed, patient and dedicated to working as a team to continue to improve this gentleman’s quality of life. 

Due to the requirements of the service, female applicants must be over 40*

Full Time

£9.10 per hour

Bethphage is a registered charity which was established in 1994 and provides support to adults with learning and physical Disabilities in Shropshire and the West Midlands. 

Everything we do is individually designed to enable people to achieve their potential and meet their objectives and need for support. The people that we support may live in their own home, a home that is shared with other people, their family home or a shared care home.

You will be required to create a team that champions excellent support by actively coaching and modelling respectful positive approaches to achieve the greatest possible independence and quality of life for the people we support, based on an understanding of what is important to and for them. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Full UK Driver’s License 
  • Own car 
  • An understanding of person-centered planning 
  • To be able to work using own initiative as well as part of a team 
  • Good communication skills 

Desirable requirements: 

  • Good IT Knowledge/Skills 
  • Experience of working with people with complex needs and mental health
