As the lock down measures gradually ease, Bethphage would like to reassure colleagues, the people we support and their families and carers that we continue to carefully follow the latest guidance to best protect our staff and the people we support from the risks posed by Covid-19.
For the people we support, we understand the value of being able to see family & friends which is why, where appropriate, we will look to find ways of supporting increased contact while ensuring that it is safe and reasonable to do so, and within the rules. We recognise any decisions made will be subject to change as the guidance rapidly changes which is why we continue to risk assess and review our approaches on a daily basis.
Bethphage are passionate about ensuring people with learning disabilities and mental health needs are treated as equal members of society which is why we must ensure that they are not prevented from experiencing the benefits that others receive from the easing of restrictions. But we do understand that some people we support are more vulnerable and their health and wellbeing is our primary concern, which is why any changes we make will always be accompanied by on going person centred risk assessments, putting the safety of them and our staff at the forefront of all decision making.
