A New Name for Ellesmere Community Centre… and a new Head of H.R. for Bethphage!

So the public consultation is finally over and the votes have been counted and Shropshire Council have confirmed that the new name for Ellesmere Community Centre will be, “Our Space – Community Centre and Library”

The new centre  at the former Meres Day Centre on Trimpley Street will provide community resources in Ellesmere alongside the provision of library services, customer services, day time opportunities for adults with learning disabilities, and day care for older people. The building works are complete and we anticipate the library will be moving across to Our Space July/August.

Bethphage are really excited about the new opportunities that Our Space Community Centre and Library will bring to the people of Ellesmere and are looking forward to taking on the management at the start of July.

Peter Loose, Bethphage’s Chief Executive, said:

“The new name chosen after public consultation reflects the community engagement we wish to foster in the new service We look forward to supporting the people of Ellesmere to make this a vibrant community centre.”

There will be an open day on Saturday, 9th September to give members of  the public the opportunity to look around.

Finally, revealing the new My Space Community Centre and Library is Bethphage’s new Head of Human Resources, Stuart Wheeler. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Stuart to the Bethphage family and you will get to hear much more about him in due course, on this website and future Facebook posts.
