The BURT support worker’s role will be to provide emergency and short notice respectful support, using positive approaches to achieve the greatest independence and quality of life based on an understanding of what is important to and for the person or people you support. Work Collaboratively towards shared objectives by actively contributing to the support team and develop positive and supportive relationship with colleagues.
The role will include working morning, afternoons, evenings nights, weekends and bank holidays. Thee may also be a requirement for split shifts and sleep in’s will be required in some services.
This role is peripatetic, which means you will work in a number of location, providing support to the people you are assigned to. Your allocated shifts may change at short notice, you will need to travel to different location and travel can be claimed as per the agreement you have with Bethphage.
You will be assigned to work in different teams on an emergency or short notice basis, this will be to provide support to cover sickness, annual leave or gaps in the team due to vacancies. You will be required to work in a number of areas, you will be inducted to work in each location prior to lone working with the people living there.
